- A social media platform exclusively accessible to WVU students.
What makes it unique?
- StingrayWV operates differently from other platforms -- here, users do not follow individuals. Instead, a specific small group, known as Stingrays, gets randomly selected each week. Any post made by a Stingray becomes visible to everyone using the app.
What kinds of posts can you expect?
- Traditional Waves: Posts that can include text, images, or videos.
- Sea Reals: Live snapshots of moments.
- ReWaves: Reposts of content you admire.
- Quote Waves: Similar to ReWaves but with an attached comment.
What can non-Stingrays engage in?
- Create secret waves in The Bay.
- Send direct messages.
- Personalize your profile.
